The IIF is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student to provide research and administrative assistance to our Distinguished Scholar in residence at the Institute. This part-time and unpaid internship offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and research skills in international economics and finance. Research topics will relate to global oil and energy markets, current macroeconomic and financial developments in emerging markets with special focus on the Middle East, including international capital flows, regional sovereign wealth funds, macroeconomic and financial stability issues, and geopolitics of the Middle East region.
Responsibilities will include analyzing data, monitoring macroeconomic and financial developments, formatting research reports and presentations, preparing first drafts of papers and briefs, and providing other assistance as necessary. Ideally, the internship period would last from January to May and the weekly schedule would be every Monday and Wednesday, although there is some flexibility on both. Candidates should be enrolled in a program in Economics, Finance, or a related field. Must be fluent in English.
