We are looking for two motivated and hard working Policy and Legislation Officers to work in the Corporate Services Division within the Department of Health and Social Care.


About our Role


We are looking for two motivated and hard working Policy and Legislation Officers to work in the Corporate Services Division within the Department of Health and Social Care.


It is essential that you are a good team player and have a strong work ethic. You must have well developed research and analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.


You will be responsible for:


Conducting any research or information gathering required for the development of legislation related policy for the Department

Working closely with the Attorney General's Chambers, the Cabinet Office and the Clerk of Tynwald's Office to ensure that new and amended legislation is delivered on time

Preparing relevant documentation required to facilitate or progress legislation through its approvals stages

Providing guidance to Department staff on the legislative process and how they can access pertinent information to enable optimum working practice between the Legislation Team and all Divisions across the Department

About the Team


You will work as part of the small and supportive legislation team who are working together to achieve the same goal of supporting the development and delivery of the Department's legislative programme and drafting new and amended secondary legislation for the Department.
