Job Summary:         

The Congressional Program Associate is responsible for promoting Heritage research on Capitol Hill within the domestic and cultural policy (health care, education, life, etc) issue areas.  Activities may include: scheduling in person briefings with Congressional staff, managing working groups, coordinating Congressional fellowship programs, coordinating Congressional events, and providing issue specific digital marketing. The Program Associate works in conjunction with the designated Research and Marketing departments to develop education and outreach strategies, and to assure effective and timely program management.  Additionally, the Program Associate is responsible for the planning and execution of Congressional educational fellowships.

Job Duties:

Coordinate and execute Congressional staff briefings on topics within assigned issue area.

Actively contribute to Heritage issues management discussions supplying strategies and information relevant to the discussion.

Plan and execute educational fellowship programs for Congressional staff under direction of the Director of Congressional Programs.

Communicate Heritage policy positions on Capitol Hill and in coalition meetings.

Assist with the planning and execution of the Conservative Members Retreat and the Emerging Leaders Retreat.

Digital promotion of Heritage research products including email marketing.
