AIR's vision is that research-based problem solving can improve the lives of all people. We are seeking a Research Associate Intern to join our Research & Evaluation group in Washington D.C.


• Assist staff in the review, identification and development of scholarly information describing research findings
• Participate in the collection of online survey data, including preparing response rate reports
• Assist in the cleaning, coding, and management of data files, including merging survey data files across years to create a longitudinal data set 
• Create codebooks and data documentation files
• Support the analysis of evaluation data and the preparation of survey reports
• Contribute to the reporting and interpretation of findings 
• Completing other duties as assigned


• Currently seeking a Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, education, economics, public policy or other -related fields
• Experience with data management and statistical analysis
• Experience with statistical software, such as STATA, SPSS, or R
• Interest in educational research 
• Strong writing and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
