Communications Intern
The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC)

Location: USA – Washington, DC

Description – Overview:

The communications department keeps the USGLC’s message prominent in the minds of policymakers and the foreign policy community. As the communications intern, you’ll be a key part of our digital and traditional communications work.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the communications team to write blog posts on foreign policy, public-private partnerships, and U.S. international affairs programs
  • Compile articles for daily newsletter product
  • Update USGLC website
  • Assist in preparing and updating reporter lists
  • Designing and updating InDesign and Photoshop graphic design and layout projects
  • Curate and edit photos in Photoshop, and manage USGLC Flickr page
  • Contribute content and strategy suggestions to USGLC social media, and assist with live Twitter coverage of USGLC events
  • Transcribe USGLC events for Board and top donors
  • Other cross-departmental duties as needed

Skills

A strong candidate has excellent writing skills, some experience with HTML coding and Adobe Creative Suite, and a team-player approach.
